She smiles all the time
She coo's and makes lots of different sounds
She loves listening to music and hear you sing to her
She loves to eat and definately lets you know it when she is hungry!
She loves playing with her Baby Einstein mat
She is able to sit in her bumbo chair
Raises her head and pushes up with arms when she is on her stomach
(however, tummy time is not one of her favorites!)
Loves, Loves, Loves bath time!
Loves all the sound effects her daddy does for her
She sleep 8-9 hours a night!

Time sure if flying by and she is getting so big. Brandon and I have enjoyed every minute of being her mommy and daddy. She is such a great baby and such a blessing to us.
We love her so much!!!!!

Hmmm..What do I want from Santa this year????
We took Blakely to see Santa at the Frisco Mall. Brandon pushed her around the mall while I waited in line. By the time we got up to see him she was sound asleep! Next will be a totally different story.

Newborn Pictures
We had Blakely's newborn pictures done when she was 3 weeks old. We were so pleased with them. She slept almost the whole time.

Blakely Ann Jones

Arrived October 9th, 2009
at 1:38 p.m.
Weighing 6 lbs, 8 oz
Length 18.11 inches long

It all started on October 9th at 2:30 a.m. I woke up having contractions that were about 8-10 minutes apart. I started timing them and finally woke up Brandon at 4:00 a.m. I told him I thought I was in labor and we needed to get our bags packed. So, he got out of bed and started helping me get things together. I really don't think he believed me until about 6:00 a.m. when I got sick and was having contractions about 5 minutes apart. I called my doctor at 7:00 and she said to head to the hospital. So, about 8:00 we got in the car and headed to the hospital. For those of you that know Brandon and his driving..me being in labor, Brandon driving like Grandpa in 8:00 traffic to Plano was not a good combo. However, by the time we hit the tollway and my contractions were 3 minutes apart he kicked it into high gear.
After a few hours of labor...little Miss Blakely arrived at 1:38 p.m. We were so surprised and excited it was a girl. We can't imagine our life without our baby girl. She has been such an amazing gift from God and we are so thankful he blessed us with such an amazing, healthy, beautiful baby girl!

Here I am about to leave for the hospital. This was our last picture to take with the dogs being the only kids in the house. They sure didn't know at this time their life was about to change with a sister coming home in a couple of days.

Here I am with my blue and pink sock that Hannah got me. Don't ask me why I am smiling so big in the middle of labor.

The anxious and excited Grandparents to be! We got Brandon on video making the call to all of the grandparents that I was in the hospital. They were so excited and made it to the hospital in record time. Brandon's dad and stepmom had to drive from Louisiana so they didn't make it before Blakely arrived but they made it right after!!!

Another picture of our parents waiting anxiously!

Here is Brandon's Aunt Jenni and our good friend Jonathon also waiting. From what I hear, Aunt Jenni entertained everyone during the long wait!

Here is Lisa's brother and sister-in-law waiting patiently!!!

Hannah and Sarah Beth (Brandon's sister who is due in 2 months!!!!!)

****AND she finally arrived****

Here is our Doctor...Dr. Petroski with Blakely. She was such a wonderful doctor.

Our first pictures together.

Our first family picture.

Proud, Proud, Proud Daddy!

Blakely with her Papa Lee! (Lisa's dad)

Gran, Papa Lee and Blakely's first picture together.

Honey (Brandon's mom) and Blakely!

Brandon's Dad and Stepmom...PawPaw and MeeMee! I think they made it in record time from Louisiana.

She is such a cuddle bug. I can't believe how little she was.

Her precious face...I think she got her Mommy's cheeks!

Proud Aunt Sarah Beth with Blakely. Sarah will be holding her own newborn baby in 2 months. We can't wait for Blakely's cousin to get here. Sarah's husband Matt wasn't able to be there when Blakely was born because he was Elk hunting. Blakely was born on Uncle Matt's Birthday!!!

Daddy and Blakely in the hospital. Brandon was and still is amazing at taking care of Blakely and me. He jumped right into it like a pro.

Well, the outfit that Gran bought for Blakely to go home in was way too big, and it was a preemie size. We put it on her and just died laughing. She looks like a little bird with wings about to fly away. Luckily our families had raided the gift shop after Blakely arrived and got her lots of really cute outfits. Brandon's Aunt Jenni had gotten us a sweet preemie gown so that is what she wore home.

I took this picture on our way home. Hmmm..Tell us how you really feel Blakely!

Pregnancy Update!

Well, I am now at 31 weeks...9 weeks to go!!! Everything is going great and I am feeling good! The baby weighs almost 3 1/2 pounds. We went and got the 3D/4D ultrasound done last week. The pictures are amazing. I will try to post them once we scan them in. We only got print outs of the face because we didn't want to know what the baby is. So, we have a DVD and a CD with 256 pictures on it sitting on our desk that we can't look at unless we want to find out what it is. So, as hard as it is not to look at it, we are going to wait and view them after the baby is here. We have a busy 2 months ahead of us trying to get ready for the baby and Brandon finishing up his paramedic rotations and graduating Sept. 18th...yah!

Our Trip with the Puppies

A few weekends ago, Brandon and I went to Ft. Worth to stay with Matt and Sarah (Brandon's sister and brother-in-law). We went because the guys wanted to take our dogs to get rattle snake avoidance training. While they did this, Sarah and I went to Canton and bought stuff for our nursery. That evening, Sarah and Matt took us to Texas De Brazil to celebrate Brandon making a 92 on his paramedic final! Yah! Thanks Matt and Sarah for such a nice and yummy meal!

A few years ago Maggie and Moose had puppies. Matt and Sarah decided to take two of the female puppies...Bella and Dixie. So here is the family...(from left)..Bella,Maggie, Dixie, and Moose. One big happy family!

Maggie and Moose after their fun-filled trip!

Nursing Home Baby Shower

A few weeks ago, my nursing home, which I have done contract work with for 4 years, decided to give me a baby shower. We had so much fun. Unfortunately, due to confidentiality, I can't post any pictures of my sweet patients who I have known for several years. The therapy dept. planned games for all the residents. The residents wanted to get me something for my shower, but of course the staff wouldn't let them use their money for that. So, the staff went and bought some gifts from Dollar General and they got to use their Bingo Bucks that they won to purchase me a small gift. They also wanted to wrap it themselves. I felt so thankful and blessed by everyone at my sweet nursing home.

Here is the therapy department that I work with. They were so sweet in planning this wonderful shower for me.

Babies, Babies, Babies

In this picture, Brandon's sister is 3 months pregnant, I am 6 months pregnant and Katie (Brandon's cousin's wife) is 9 months pregnant. So his family is going to be full of new babies in the next few months. Brandon's mom and aunt took us all to the Melting Pot for a nice dinner before Katie had Baby Nathan. We had so much fun! Thanks for such a great evening Hannah "Honey" and Aunt Jenni "Mimi"

Baby Moon

Brandon and I wanted to have a little get away before Baby Jones arrives. Since he is working and finishing up paramedic school he only had one weekend available. So we decided to take a long weekend trip to Rouch Creek Lodge and Resort outside of Glen Rose Texas. It was SOOO nice! Brandon's sister, Sarah, and her husband, Matt came on the 4th of July to celebrate with us. We had a blast. Thanks Brandon for taking me on such a fun and relaxful trip!

Brandon and Matt went fishing for a few hours in the pond behind the resort. They caught alot of big fish!

This is what I did most of the time...relaxing by the pool. Here is Sarah and I getting some sun. We also went and got us a prenatal massage. That was wonderful!

Brandon still thinks he is a little kid sometimes. He decided to go down the little kids slide a few times.

We ate some REALLY good food and watched the fire works show from the restaurant balcony.
