The Nursery

I just want to say a BIG thank you to Brandon, my parents and my mother-in-law who worked so hard a few weekends ago on our nursery. Mom, Dad, and Hannah, we could not have done it without your help! We really appreciate it. Brandon, thank you so much for working so hard on it in the middle of paramedic school. Dumplin is going to love it when she/he gets here!

(Sorry, the next two pictures are out of order. I couldn't figure out how to change it.

Brandon...wondering what he has gotten himself into.

Here is the nursery after our long weekend of working on the nursery. Hopefully soon we will be able to post the finished nursery for you to see!

Exciting News!!!

We are having a baby!!!!! Baby Jones is due to arrive October 20th. We are so excited and can't wait for October to get here. This sonogram was taken at 8 1/2 weeks. Isn't he/she cute!!! Brandon and I have decided not to found out what we are having. We feel like there aren't that many big surprises left in life, so we decided to wait. We also are not telling anyone the names we pick out so we are going to have to come up with a little nick name to use until he/she gets here. Brandon calls it "Little Dumplin", so who knows, maybe we will stick with that until the big name is revealed. I am now 12 1/2 weeks pregnant. For those of you that say, "Oh, the nausea and vomiting will pass after your first trimester"...you are wrong! I am hoping and praying it will get better soon! Stay tuned for updates on "Little Dumplin".

Daddy to be...

After we found out I was pregnant, I gave Brandon a "Daddy" goody bag. I have been collecting things forever for this bag. In fact, I bought this camoflage girl oufit 4 years ago on the square in downtown Mckinney. He loved it! Now, we just have to wait and see if the girl or boy stuff is going to be used.

This was one of Brandon's favorite outfits!

These are the books that I gave Brandon in his goody bag. With the 5 inch thick paramedic book he is reading, I doubt he will get to these before Baby Jones arrives. That is ok, though. He already knows exactly what to do! HEHE! He especially liked the book on the right!

Announcing the BIG News!!!!

This was the cake that we surprised them with.

Well, many of you are going to think that I am so redneck for posting hunting pictures as my first post on my blog. Actually, we couldn't find our camera for a while and this is the only thing I have that is recent besides our pumpkin party last October. So this will have to do. Kevin and Abby Curley called us late one Saturday night and wanted us to go hunting with them. I have only been a few times with Brandon in the 10 years we have been together. So, I was actually excited about it. Abby had never been duck hunting and wanted to go before Leah got here. We had a blast. We only saw one duck but we still had a good time. We took our dogs with us too. Maggie (the yellow lab) is ours and Beans (the chocolate lab) is Abby and Kevin's. Beans is actually one of Maggie and Moose's puppies so we call her our "grand-dog".
We had to get a family picture of the event...minus Moose. Lazy Moose was at home asleep.
As you can see, Abby was 8 months pregnant when we went. Doesn't she look cute!!! Unfortunately they don't make camo maternity pants, or atleast I don't think they do. So, she had to make due with what she had. I think she pulled it off pretty well! If you are wondering why the crotch of my pants goes down to my knees, I had to wear Brandon's camo. I don't own any so I had to make due with his..which were a FEW sizes too BIG!!!!

Aren't they cute!!!!
